Tracking + Perception

In this immersive three-day course, we’ll explore tracking and naturalist study through the full range of your senses—seeing, touching, tasting, smelling, and imagining your way into deeper perception. This approach invites you into a living conversation with the animacy and intelligence of the landscape. Drawing from elemental principles of artistic observation—line, texture, light, color, and form—you’ll practice slowing down, attuning to the elements, and living into the questions rather than rushing to solve them.

If you’re wanting to broaden your experience and deepen your skill in wildlife tracking and reading the land, this course offers an opportunity to reconnect with your own animality and perceptual capacities—modes of knowing that conventional naturalist training often overlooks.
